Alexandra was born the 7th of June 1978 when brown and orange wallpaper and macrame pot covers and holders were in fashion. Raised in the typical normal family of the time, she preferred her crayons to playing ball. After finishing high school with honors, the call of the

forbidden suddenly became loud. She experimented with drugs and life on the street where she stayed for 10 years. Her HIV diagnosis was a wake up call and a kick in the ass!

Today she uses her lived experience for positive change around her. Very  involved in By and For commmunities of people who use drugs, she sits as an administrator on many boards and is always elaborating thousands of projects or being a speaker at harm redcution conferences.

She currently started working at CSA in the Laurentides,  previously worked at the supervised injection site (SIS) of Cactus Montréal and is one of the faciliators of the Quebec PLDI chapter.
